As an HSP coach, a highly sensitive person, and a former therapist, I have both professional & personal experience with HSPs.
...you spend all of your time & energy on others?
…you feel too anxious or guilty to set boundaries with people in your life?
…you are burnt out trying to keep everyone else happy?
…you're starting to feel resentful when others ask something of you?
…you're not able to spend enough time alone, with your family, or doing things that you enjoy?
Then Boundary Setting Coaching is perfect for you!
Being a highly sensitive person can sometimes feel isolating and feel as though others don't understand you, so connecting with another HSP can be very validating and normalize what you deal with on a daily basis. Plus, I have done a lot of work personally when it comes to acknowledging my needs, setting boundaries, and feeling okay about putting my needs first so I can be the best version of myself. During our meetings, we will discuss barriers to setting boundaries, acknowledging your needs, how to cope with feelings of anxiety and guilt, and how to begin setting boundaries. Boundary Setting Coaching can help you become more aware of what your needs are and how to make sure these needs are met by implementing certain tools and strategies-- and it can be helpful to have someone to hold you accountable for following through on implementing these tools and working toward your goals.
"I have done therapy for years but just learned about being an HSP under a year ago. For months, I have been wanting someone who understands the complexities of being Highly Sensitive and can coach me through the twists and turns as I own it and figure out how bounce back from the challenges and embrace the strengths. Lauren is an excellent active listener and supplied me with helpful takeaways after each session that served as important reminders to help me live with more ease with my sensitivity." --Chris
“I think it was helpful to have Lauren be a highly sensitive person as well and really be able to empathize with what’s going on and be able to relate to it…I’m that type of person too, so I think it helps to have somebody that understands, to know the situation and look deeper into it. If you go to a different counselor or therapist or psychologist, sometimes they’re not looking at that piece of it, so some of the stuff that they can recommend is not going to be really effective with a highly sensitive person, so I found that it’s more effective with it being geared a little bit closer to what is going on.” --Julia (HSP & mother of a highly sensitive child)
“I don’t get as frustrated; I can calm down faster. Our family’s been a lot better since that ‘cause I was kind of not having the best actions when I should’ve been. And all those skills that I learned really helped.” --Caleb, age 8 (highly sensitive child)
This is a six month 1:1 coaching program for HSPs who want face-to-face support when working on setting boundaries. We meet bi-weekly, so you have plenty of time to implement new skills in between our meetings.
This is a three month 1:1 text and voice message program for HSPs who would like more flexibility than having to schedule meetings.
If you aren't ready to invest in a coaching program, have something specific you'd like to process or focus on, and want flexibility to respond when you're ready, the Day of Voxer is for you! You pick the day, and you'll have 1:1 access to me via Voxer for 8 hours.
