As a licensed therapist, HSP coach, and a highly sensitive person, I have both professional and personal experience with HSPs.
My name is Lauren LaSalle, and I'm a licensed therapist, HSP coach, and highly sensitive person. I work with all ages as an HSP coach including highly sensitive children and their parents/guardians. My work with adults focuses on better understanding their trait of high sensitivity and their needs, creating more balance in their lives, setting boundaries, focusing on self-care, and more. When working with highly sensitive children and their parents, I help them better understand what it means to be a highly sensitive child, how parents can best support their child, and help children learn and implement tools for things such as emotion identification, communication, and regulation.
Being a highly sensitive person can sometimes feel isolating and feel as though others don't understand you, so connecting with another HSP can be very validating and normalize what you deal with on a daily basis. HSP coaching can help you become more aware of what your needs are and how to make sure these needs are met by implementing certain tools and strategies-- and it can be helpful to have someone to hold you accountable for following through on implementing these tools and working toward your goals.
"I have done therapy for years but just learned about being an HSP under a year ago. For months, I have been wanting someone who understands the complexities of being Highly Sensitive and can coach me through the twists and turns as I own it and figure out how bounce back from the challenges and embrace the strengths. Lauren is an excellent active listener and supplied me with helpful takeaways after each session that served as important reminders to help me live with more ease with my sensitivity." --Chris
“I think it was helpful to have Lauren be a highly sensitive person as well and really be able to empathize with what’s going on and be able to relate to it…I’m that type of person too, so I think it helps to have somebody that understands, to know the situation and look deeper into it. If you go to a different counselor or therapist or psychologist, sometimes they’re not looking at that piece of it, so some of the stuff that they can recommend is not going to be really effective with a highly sensitive person, so I found that it’s more effective with it being geared a little bit closer to what is going on.” --Julia (HSP & mother of a highly sensitive child)
“I don’t get as frustrated; I can calm down faster. Our family’s been a lot better since that ‘cause I was kind of not having the best actions when I should’ve been. And all those skills that I learned really helped.” --Caleb, age 8 (highly sensitive child)
This is a three month 1:1 coaching program for HSPs who are ready to set boundaries, create a more balanced life, work on identifying and building on their strengths, and increase their self-compassion.
This is a one month 1:1 coaching program for HSPs who have recently discovered that they are a highly sensitive person and would like to explore how they experience the trait, how they can make small changes to have a more comfortable life, and explore and expand upon their self-care.
This is a two week 1:1 text and voice message program for HSPs who would like more flexibility than having to schedule sessions and are ready to set boundaries, implement practical self-care, and explore the trait of high sensitivity.
